Intended Audience: Classroom Teachers, Instructional Assistants, Counselors, etc.

Planned Program:
  • Explore Google Chrome and its many benefits not only as an Internet browser but also as a software platform for Google Apps for Education
    • Realize the importance of using Google Chrome and its advantages such as security, HTML rendering, interoperability, etc.
    • Explore the numerous Extensions and Web Apps that the Chrome Web Store has to offer
    • Learn various tips and techniques to troubleshoot common issues and other problems that may arise
  • Utilize Google Drive to create, collaborate and share
    • Not only develop your knowledge of Google Drive as a cloud storage service but also learn about and utilize the various services within
    • Create within the core services such as Docs, Sheets, Slides
    • Explore Add-ons that enhance the core Google Drive services and learn how to manage them
  • Learn to incorporate Google Classroom as your workflow platform
    • Explore the inner workings of Classroom and how to involve your students
    • Establish a workflow and general protocol for year-to-year use of Classroom
    • Learn about connecting with parents via Calendar and Parent Notifications
  • Discover how Google Forms can make data collection easy and more efficient
    • Learn how to create an effective and efficient form using the different question types and apply your knowledge by creating your own forms
    • Explore the different ways in which you can collect and analyze the results of your form submissions
    • Understand and utilize the power of Add-ons to collect your submitted data and disseminate it to those who need the data
